CHOKDRUP LING: How you can help

Last spring an 80-acre parcel of adjacent land was put on the market. As this land fortuitously overlooks the site of a prospective temple and stupa, it was immediately considered an important addition to Chokdrup Ling. The price is $75,000.

Providing access to dharma sites is traditionally noted as an exceptionally noble and meritorious act. The natural ruggedness of the land, the snow, and monsoons have washed out the existing dirt roads. These are in desperate need of being graded and graveled. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for the first phase of providing access to the hermitage area.

Additionally, there are plans underway for a community dharma hall where visiting lamas can teach and sangha can gather to practice. There are many positive indications that this traditional sacred ground of the Four Corners Region is ripe for the Buddhadharma to flourish. We project building material costs to be $25,000

Currently, through the generosity of many donors we have raised $85,000. Any contribution that you make will help us reach our goal of $150,000.

Checks can be made out and sent to Chagdud Gonpa Foundation, 2223 NE 137th St., Seattle WA, 98125. If you would like to use Visa or MasterCard, call us at 206-368-7974 to make arrangements.
